Pathway to Wharton Alumni Status

For more than 135 years, Wharton has been the place where visionaries, inventors, and trail-blazers get their start. After completing the Wharton ABAP, and upon review of further qualification criteria, there is a pathway to apply for Wharton Alumni Status. Join an elite network of 99,000+ members across 150+ countries.

Criteria for qualification include:

  • At least 15 years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated career achievement within chosen profession
  • Profit and loss responsibilities
  • Proven growth of cross-functional and/or cross-geographical responsibilities
  • Submission and approval of supplemental application
  • Completing two open enrollment programs, with additional fee payment

Once you qualify for Wharton alumni status, you will be eligible to receive:

The Wharton ABAP is designed keeping in mind the needs of busy executives — you will learn through online and interactive sessions, including fireside chats and guest lectures from leading researchers and global industry leaders. Outside of the six core modules, you will be able to choose two areas of specialization from a range of six topical elective modules. These modules have been designed to help you dive deeper into the application of analytics specific to your industry or your role within your organization. During the program, you can also opt for one on-campus elective in a topic of your choice. Each on-campus elective is handpicked to enhance your learning journey.

Who is it for?

The Wharton ABAP is ideal for mid-career and senior professionals across industries. The program is designed to help participants learn how analytics can improve business performance, both within their role and the industry.

Additionally, senior executives who are responsible for interfacing with teams that collect data, and those who are beginning to use available data to inform strategy and operating decisions, will benefit from the program.

The program eligibility criteria include:

  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience
  • International exposure (preferred)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

We strongly recommend that interested participants apply early.

Round 1

The first application deadline was
January 21, 2021 and the fee to apply was US$300.

Round 2

The second application deadline is
March 4, 2021 and the fee to apply is US$500.

The Program fee is US$40,000 and covers teaching fees, all academic material, and access to online coursework. The fee does not include accommodation for the on-campus elective, transport expenses (domestic, international, visa fee, and more), and other expenses not specifically mentioned in the fees.
