Hear from Our Participants

What attracted me to ABAP was the analytics subject matter and the fact that Wharton is a very prestigious school, which would have the right professors, speakers, and content that would be most relevant in today’s business world. I liked that the program is flexible and the videos, information, and reading were well balanced.

I wanted to learn from a broader business and strategy perspective on how data analytics could drive business transformation and digitalization journeys that are now critical to the success and viability of companies. Through the Advanced Business Analytics Program, I gained firsthand knowledge of some data visualization tools, learned the importance of equitable governance structures, elimination of biases, ethical and legal considerations, the importance of human intuition to evaluate some AI/ML predictions, and how to leverage data insights to make competitive and differentiated decisions for organizations.

There are several aspects of the program that are carefully designed. The first is the content structure, addressing key topics of legal and regulatory challenges or mitigating bias with AI. It assembles a cohort of global executive leaders — several of them focused on running large analytical programs in various Fortune 1000 enterprises — which allows for a deeper discussion and exchange of big picture ideas beyond the fundamental tools and methods.

I researched several programs from many top schools, and only the Advanced Business Analytics Program suited my requirements. It’s like a major in advanced analytics but with flexibility. The program’s structure appealed to me, where the core parts are done first, followed by the electives. It requires you to think a lot as you reflect on your experiences and concepts every week. We also collaborate with other like-minded people, develop relationships, and finally get to meet them in person.

Over the core modules, I found several aspects of the program to be beneficial for me — the exposure to business case studies, solving real-world problems, learning from the best of professors, hearing from industry experts in fireside chats, and of course, working with an amazing group of executives in the cohort who come from a variety of professional backgrounds and experiences. The Advanced Business Analytics Program electives offer exactly what I need to advance my career in this field.
